Paws Awhile has been providing professional afterlife options to pet owners for the past 33 years. We are a family owned business conveniently located on a 23 acre wooded park-like setting adjacent to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Richfield, and roughly 16 miles from Cleveland or Akron. Our family and staff have come to appreciate knowing many of our customers pets throughout their entire lives thus encouraging us to provide the highest quality service in both life and death. We look forward to providing the custom quality care that you, your family, and most importantly, your pet deserves. We understand that every situation is different, that's why Paws Awhile offers a wide range of services to fit any budget, from the most elegant and elaborate to the simplest with dignity.
This dedicated cemetery land was professionally designed by a landscape architect. This land is deed restricted and we maintain a perpetual care fund to secure the final resting place of your special friend.
"With sincere gratitude and appreciation for all you do for our pets. We love them and know they are in loving, good care when we gave them to you. Thanks for all you did for our little Kara Bear, gone too soon."
-David and Laura Binkles"We wanted you to know how much we appreciated the thoughtful way in which you presented our dog Slider back to use. It was done in a beautiful way & it meant so much to us to know that you knew he was a very important member of our family and not just a pet. We greatly appreciate your kindness. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and caring."
-The Sanders Family"Thank you for your kindness at such a difficult time for me. You not only took such good care of Bailey for me, but also of me. I miss her terribly, she really was my princess."
-Debbie SnyderIn the late 80's, Joe had a dream of opening a pet cemetery to help ease people through the process of saying goodbye to their loving pets. Shortly after that Joe began construction of the grounds, building out the driveways and planting the grass to create the Paws Awhile grounds. In 1991, Joe had his grand opening, and ever since then has been helping give pets who have passed the respect and dignity they deserve. Whenever he isn't working, Joe is a family man who loves spending time with his daughters.
